Two kinds of image in one night
Art events need the work shown faithfully — colour, composition, scale — and the evening around it: collectors in conversation, artists with their pieces, the gala table. We planned the coverage to move between both as the night changed pace, from the exhibition to the dinner to the signings.
The signings
The live signatures were the moments everyone wanted to remember — and the hardest to capture well: small gestures, crowded tables, mixed light. We stayed close to the artists through each signing, so the gallery had clean frames of the artist, the work and the guests together.
Delivery
One hundred edited photos were delivered by the next morning, covering the artworks, the artists, the guests and the dinner — ready for the gallery's press, social channels and archive.
